Erysipelas

Erysipelas (particular clinical type of cellulitis) - an acute, often recurrent infection. Called almost exclusively streptococci.

Streptococci enter the body in the presence of athlete's foot, ulcers, venous disorders in venous insufficiency and superficial wounds. Changes in the skin in certain diseases (limfootek, diabetes, alcoholism) are also risk factors for erysipelas.
